Frances H. Toutant, 85, of Birmingham, formerly of Royal Oak, died Feb. 27, 2008, at Greenfield Nursing Center, Royal Oak. She was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Shelby, Ohio. Mrs. Toutant served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a nurse's aide. She was an avid bowler and bowled in a league for more than 45 years. Mrs. Toutant enjoyed taking care of her family and home and visiting her granddaughter in Colorado. Mrs. Toutant is survived by her children, Dana L. Toutant of Birmingham, and Darrell J. (Judit) Toutant of Denver; and granddaughter,Victoria. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Toutant Jr., whom she married Feb. 25,1952. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, April 2.
