Henry William Campbell, 81, of Ferndale, formerly of Royal Oak, died Feb. 17, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born April 19, 1926, in Royal Oak to Guy and Frances Campbell. Mr. Campbell graduated from Royal Oak High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Berkley and Royal Oak for more than 30 years. He was a member of the NARFE and South Oakland Chapter 19 D.A.V. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth; sons, Henry Worth Campbell of Bloomfield Hills, and Terrance Lee Campbell of Van Wert, Ohio; and sisters-in-law, Pearl Campbell of Indialantic, Fla., Margaret Gill of Royal Oak, and Mary Springstead of Royal Oak. He was predeceased by siblings Guy and Sara. Visitation,Thursday, 2-8 p.m., and service Friday, 11 a.m., will be at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak.
