Beatrice B. Frick, 100, Berkley, died Feb. 13, 2008. She was born Oct. 6, 1907, in Shamokin, Pa., to Andrew and Frances Mary (Swartz) Marhefka. Mrs. Frick attended St. Stanislaus School and Shamokin High School. She married Cyril Englebert June 29, 1932. She worked as an assistant for Edward Harris Opticians and as a secretary for Tharp Ice Cream Co. Mrs. Frick moved to Berkley in 1943 and was a resident of the city for 64 years. She served as secretary and vice president for the Berkley Friendly Neighbors, member of the Catholic Women's Guild and member of the Shrine Ladies Guild. Mrs. Frick is survived by her children, Robert Carl (Ellen) Frick of Warren and Christine (Curtis) Kersey of Sterling Heights; grandchildren William Anthony Yates, Martin Cyril Frick, Curtis Daniel Kersey and Ronald Erwin Frick; and sister Camille Gosiewski. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Cyril Englebert; daughter Ann Frances Yates; and siblings Norbert, Sybil, Frances, Chester, Louise Marhefka and Marie Papp. Visitation was Feb. 14 at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home and a funeral Mass was celebrated at National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church Feb. 15. Burial took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St, Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or a Mass can be celebrated in her name.
