Robert B. Heffernan, 98, of Brighton, and formerly of Royal Oak, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born Jan. 13, 1910, in Geneva, N.Y. Mr. Heffernan resided in Royal Oak from 1950-2005. He was employed with Associated Electric in Royal Oak for 34 years. Mr. Heffernan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak and the Clawson-Troy Elks Club in Troy. He was an usher and ran the lector program at St. Mary's and was a member of the Bishop Gallagher Knights of Columbus Council in Royal Oak. He also was the former secretary of the Board of Directors for the Oakland County Food Bank for many years. Mr. Heffernan was predeceased on Dec. 21, 1981, by his wife, Thelma Heffernan. Surviving are his children, Robert B. (Pamela) Heffernan of Ogden, Utah, and Bonnie J. (Ralph) Davis of Brighton; brother, Joseph Heffernan of Geneva; grandchildren, Tiffany Woodward, Erica Hernandez, Andrea Davis, Kyle Heffernan and Heather Seyfarth; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation, 2-9 p.m. Sunday at William Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile, Royal Oak; further visitation Monday from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral Mass is celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr.
