Helen Isabelle (nee Hannigan) Coulton, 90, died peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007. She was born March 10, 1917, in Chicago, Mrs. Coulton lived her entire life as a resident of Royal Oak. She graduated from Royal Oak High School. On Nov.21, 1936, she married Raymond Frank Coulton, who also graduated from Royal Oak High School. In their later years, the couple divided their time between their home in Royal Oak and a second home on Lake Huron in the Oscoda area. Both were avid travelers. Mrs. Coulton was a loving wife and mother. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1994. She is survived by her four daughters, Joan Larson of Royal Oak, Elaine (Jack) Kentala of Royal Oak, Kathleen (Mark) Rhodes of Gaithersburg, Md., and Grace (Stewart) Schofield of Grand Rapids. She also is survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A private family memorial service is scheduled for a future date.
