Sophie Mazzarese, 86, of Berkley since 1949, passed away Saturday, Dec.15, 2007 at Boulevard Health Care Center in Rochester Hills. She was born April 13, 1921 in Hamtramck. Mrs. Mazzarese worked for Chrysler Corporation at Dodge Main as a seamstress, retiring after 10 years of service. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe, whom she wed June 10, 1944 in Clarksville, Term. Surviving are her children, Patricia (Jerome) Goecke of Livonia, Joseph (Linda) Mazzarese of Milford, William (Ines) Mazzarese of Largo, Florida, and Terry Mazzarese of Rochester Hills; grandchildren, Joseph (Ann Marie) Mazzarese, Jeffrey (Lynn) Mazzarese, Michael (Robyn) Goecke, Alexander (Teresa) Goecke, Jaime Goecke, and Adrianna Mazzarese; great grandchildren, Jacob and Lily; and niece and nephew, Carl Miller and Dorothy Ryskamp. Memorial visitation, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, 5 p.m. until time of Mass 5:30 p.m. at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Road, Livonia.
