Virginia M. Southard, 84,. a 20-year resident of Ferndale, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at home. She was born Feb. 27,1923 in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with her family, home decorating and refmishing furniture. She was predeceased by husband Alan Southard on July 13, 1979. She is survived by children, Barbara Arndt of Metamora, Renee (Tom) Milkovich of Fraser, Jay (Alice) Southard of St. Clair Shores, Brian Southard of Ferndale; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and brother, Charles MacGovern.
