Helen (Roman) Wrubel, 87, a 53year resident of Madison Heights, formerly of Hamtramck, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born Aug. 2; 1920 in Detroit. Mrs. Wrubel graduated from Hamtramck High School in 1938. She raised six children, was a homemaker and also employed by the J.L. Hudson Co. for 19 years. She retired in 1985. She enjoyed her many friends, her roses and she loved to attend parties. She was predeceased by her first husband, Louis Roman in 1951, and her second husband, Sylvester Wrubel in 1965. She was also predeceased by parents, Mary and Andrew Bartneck; son, Bob Roman in 1997; brothers, Charlie and Al Bartneck; and grandson Jordan Roman in 2001. She is survived by children, Sally (Gary) Gross of Royal Oak, Richard Roman of Ohio, Tom Roman of Florida, Jerome Wrubel of Orchard Lake, Mich., Allen (Christina) Wrubel of Sterling Heights; sister, Mary Ann Gosik of Warren; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in January; cremation by Generations Funeral and Cremation Services; memorials, donor's choice or Royal Oak William Beaumont Hospice.
