Olga Truchan, 89, a lifelong Royal Oak resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born Dec. 12,1917, in Detroit Mrs. Truchan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was a lifelong member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower and loved to garden. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Paul Truchan, on July 3, 2001. The couple wed May 28,1939, in Hamtramck. She is survived by her children, Theodore (Barbara) Buchan, Catherine (Donald) Campbell, Therese (Robert) Stout, Thomas (Kay) Buchan and Paul (Joie) Truchan; 13 grandchildren; and 17 greatgrandchildren. Visitation, 28 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak; Mrs. Truchan will lie in state from 11:30 a.m. Saturday until noon Mass is celebrated at National Shrine of the Little Flower, 2123 Roseland, Royal Oak; burial, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield; memorials, Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, 4597 Warren, Ann Arbor, MI 48105; or National Shrine of the Little Flower, 2123 Roseland, Royal Oak, MI 48073 or Masses.
