Florence N. (nee Manning) Beveridge, 97, of Royal Oak and formerly of Ferndale, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007. She was born May 17, 1910, in Chicago. Mrs. Beveridge was an employee of General Underwriters Insurance Co. for 35 years. She enjoyed spending winters in Englewood, Fla., and summers at the family cottage in Port Austin. Mrs. Beveridge was an avid reader, gardener and cherished time with her family. She was proud of her Scottish heritage and visited relatives in Scotland on several occasions. Mrs. Beveridge was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Beveridge, in 1985; son, David A., in 2005; and a brother, Jack Hutton of Atlanta in 2006. She is survived by a son, Robert G. (Sue) of Ferndale; daughterinlaw, Beverly F. Beveridge of Ferndale; brother, Andrew Hutton of Allen Park; grandchildren, Robert, Lori, David, Bill, Dawn, Susie, Denise, John, Kim, Doug, Diane and Tammy; 27 greatgrandchildren, three greatgreatgrandchildren; nieces, Maureen (Rick)Simari ofLivonia, Patricia (David) Browne of California, and Karen (Kevin) Davis of Brownstown; and nephew, John Hutton of Lincoln Park.
