Valerie Anne Stein, 51, of Metamora, formerly of Royal Oak for 23 years, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007. She retired in 2004 after eight years as a career facilitator for the Royal Oak Board of Education. She enjoyed making baskets, scrapbooking, travel and had a passion for shopping. She was the beloved wife of Edward for 30 years; dear mother of Nicole; daughter of Robert and Maxine (nee Paquette) Wessel; sister of Richard (Tracy) Wessel; aunt of Steven and Bailey; sisterinlaw of Nancy Mack; aunt of Lesley (Mark) Geise; greataunt of Max and Wilson; and dear friend of Sheryl Thomas and many others.
