Ruth MacFarlane, 70, of Dryden, formerly of Oak Park, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007. She was born Jan. 15, 1937 in Orange, Mass. Mrs. MacFarlane was a bus driver for the Ferndale School District for 27 years, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and camping. Ruth was always on the go, you couldn't slow her down. She loved and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by parents, Knote and Mariann Turner; first husband and father of her children, John Reeser, Sr.; and second husband, Jim Carlin. She is survived by husband, Ronald MacFarlane, Sr. of Dryden; children, John (Carol) Reeser, Jr, of Madison Heights, William (Paula) Reeser of Dryden, Linda Reiterman of Sterling Heights, Diane (Dale) McCrum of Sterling Heights, Ronda (Tony) Garbin of Ohio, Ronald MacFarlane, Jr. of Camden, Ohio, Renee (Rick) Tewksbury of Ohio, Michael (Jena) of Alaska, Cliff Carlin of Flint; 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation, 26 p.m. Sunday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 1021 S. Main St., Lapeer, at (810 6648111; services, 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Helms officiating; burial, White Chapel Memorial Cemetery; memorials, American Diabetes Association.
