Betty Adams, 87, a 60year rest dent of Royal Oak, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born March 15, 1920, in London, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Adams retired in 1978 after 38 years of service as a secretary at Dondero High School. Betty enjoyed going to Stagecrafters, Meadowbrook Theatre, traveling with the Royal Oak Seniors, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; parents, Thomas and Ida Blanchard; greatgranddaughter, Samantha Dawson; and sister, Ruth Speelman. She is survived by children, Penny (Daniel) Stoyka and Tom (Linda) Adams; grandchildren, Karen (Aric) Dunn, Gayle (Chuck) Dawson; and greatgrandchild, Jacob Dawson.
