Esther M. Sheibels, 84, a longtime resident of Royal Oak, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. Mrs. Sheibels was born July 23, 1923, in Detroit and married her late husband, Robert Sheibels on July 3, 1946, in Detroit. Mrs. Sheibels was a dedicated worker at Michigan Bell as a Marketing Representative for many years. She was a greeter and member of the Stephens Ministry at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Birmingham. Mrs. Sheibels enjoyed dancing, traveling, gambling, cards and bowling. Mrs. Sheibels is survived by her loving sons, James (Barbara), Paul (Jody) and Ken Sheibels. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Sheibels is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert Sheibels. Funeral services will be held at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2225 E. 14 Mile Road, Birmingham, 10 a.m. Tuesday; visitation, 9 a.m. at the church, and also 49 p.m. Monday at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (Between 14 Mile and15 Mile roads); interment, Roseland Park Cemetery Berkley.
