Christopher A. Grubbs, 39, of Clawson, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at his home after an extended illness. He was born May 28, 1968, in Royal Oak. Chris loved music and sports. He graduated from Clawson High School and made all-state in swimming in 1986. He attended Ferris State University, Oakland Community College and Baker College. He was a great cook for 17 years, working in Atlanta, Ga., Detroit and Birmingham, Mich. He was predeceased by his father, Roland; grandparents; and sister, Mary Beth. He is survived by daughter, Meghan; mother, Peg; sister, Leslie (Roberto) Bombelli; brother, Don (known as Larry) Grubbs; niece, Natsumi Grubbs; nephew, Angelo Bombelli; and many cousins. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 581 E. 14 Mile Road, Clawson. The Mass will be followed by a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall at the corner of Elmwood and Main Street in Clawson.
