Gregory D. Peters, 56, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at home: He was born April 3, 1951, in Detroit, the son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Rivard) Duke. He graduated from Madison High School in 1969. He was a member of the State Champion Wrestling Team, and he placed third in the state that year. He married his beloved wife Peggy (Harrell) on Aug. 14, 1986, in Hazel Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Duke; brother, David Thomasson; and father-in-law Fred Harrell. Surviving are his wife Peggy; children, Jayson and Julie Dando; father, Andrew A. Duke; grandchildren, Alexus Dando, Angelina King, Loki and David Busch; sister, Cassandra (John Austin) Thomasson; brothers, Tim (Betty) Peters, Andrew (Jamie) Duke Jr, John (Diana) Duke, Bill (Kim) Duke, Daniel (Janis) Duke; and mother-in-law, Clara Harrell. Visitation, 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. scripture service at McConnell Funeral Home, 500 Main St., Fenton; Mass of Christian. Burial, 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church; 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton; burial, White Chapel Memorial Cemetery Troy; in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alexus Dando College Fund.
