Geraldine V. Thomason, 82, of Hudson, Fla. passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at her home in Hudson, Fla. Mrs. Thomason was born on June 19, 1925, in South Charleston, W. Va. She was a resident of Berkley for 31 years. She was a former resident of Royal Oak for 10 years. She worked as a manager for Cunningham's Drugs for 21 years. She married Leon Dennis Thomason in Charleston, W. Va. on Jan. 2, 1943. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1994, after 51 years of marriage. She is survived by her children: James W. (Virginia) Thomason of Royal Oak, Sudie (Claude) Boike of Hudson, Florida, Deborah Vermilya of Florida and Dennis (Kelly) Thomason of Florida. She was predeceased by her parents Carlen and Sudie Kessinger. She was the loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandmother of two great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Wanda (the Rev. Edward) Taylor, EmmaJean (Jack) Hurner, Carlina Tomball, and June Morgan. Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 West 12 Mile Road (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue) in Berkley, 29 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service, 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
