Doris M. Hubbard, 70, a Hazel Park resident for more than 40 years, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. She was born July 19,1937, in Detroit. Mrs. Hubbard was a waitress for 40 years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. She was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. Mrs. Hubbard was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Hubbard. Surviving are her children, Karen (Diane Danks) Lane of Hazel Park, Beth Bombard of Washington Township, and David (Suzanne) Hubbard of Greenville, S.C.; siblings, Darrell (June) Maitland, Fred (Mary) Maitland, Val Ensley and Lester Maitland; and grandchildren, Sarah, Eric, Dante and Alexandra; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation, 4-9 p.m. Friday at Hoperoft Funeral Home, 23919 John R, Hazel Park; services, 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
