Connie J. Woodcox (nee Hoemke), 52, a lifetime resident of Berkley, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at home of cancer. She was born August 10, 1954, in Detroit. Mrs. Woodcox was an avid gardener and a very devoted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She took great pride in her fami¬ly and will be missed dearly. Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Philip, whom she married in September of 1977, in Berkley; mother, Evelyn C. Hoemke; siblings, Kathleen (Dan) Austin, George (Grace) Hoemke Jr., Linda Scalzi, Beverly (Gary) Brown, Nancy (Manny) Hoemke, John Hoemke, Mike (Diane) Hoemke, Janet (Darrell) Todoroff, Jeanne (Tony) Valdes and Judy (Tom) Canfield; 25 nieces and nephews; and 22 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, George C. Hoemke. Visitation, 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of memorial service, 11 a.m., St. Paul Lutheran Church, 202 E. Fifth St., Royal Oak.
