VANDERWORP, EDWARD “POPS”; age 87; died February 28, 2015. He is survived by his soulmate and beloved wife, Marilyn of 58 years. He is also survived by his three children, Michael (Tami), Patrick, and Heidi (Ronnie); five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a photographer for the Oakland Press for 44 years and retired in 1991. After retirement, he took a job with Sylvan Auto as an auto parts delivery man. He worked there for 19 years and left in 2010. Edward enjoyed bowling and loved to play golf. He loved spending time with his family. Edward was a veteran of the Korean War and also a member of the VFW Post #1008 in Waterford, MI. A Celebration of Edward’s Life will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015, 1 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford.
