Gerald William Kurkowski age 75 of Warren and formerly of Ferndale for 37 years passed away July 10 2011. He was born November 2 1935 in Troy Michigan. Loving father of Jill (Stephen Brackett) Johnson Daniel (Dee) Kurkowski Brian (Julie) Kurkowski and the late Timothy. Grandfather of Dain Ethan Evan and Victoria. Former husband of Shirley Kurkowski. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Fenton Cathy Kurk and Shirley Kesteloot and brothers Frank Carl James Phillip and Kenneth and 49 nieces and nephews. He loved working in his yard (he always had the greenest grass) boating and spending time with his family. Visitation Wednesday 3-9 p.m. at the Hopcroft Funeral Home 31145 John R. Road Madison Heights. The funeral will be held Thursday at St. Mary Magdalen Church Hazel Park with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass.
