Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Berndt age 72 of Oak Park died Saturday June 25 2011 at Romeo Continuing Care in Romeo Mich. She was born November 25 1938 in Ferndale. Betty worked for the Daily Tribune for 27 years as an advertising representative retired from The Mirror and worked many years for Mervyn's at Universal Mall. Surviving her are daughter Luanne Green (Darryl Duane); grandchildren Drew and Brittany Green; sister Mary Newman; and sister-in-law Sharon Newlander. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Newlander. Memorial gathering Thursday June 30 5 p..m until the time of 8 p.m. service at Hopcroft Funeral Home 31145 John R Road Madison Heights.
