Ruth Elizabeth Gastaldo age 89 of Royal Oak passed away Tuesday November 16 2010 at home. She was born December 25 1920 in Detroit to Ernest and Mabel Fischer. Mrs. Gastaldo grew up in Marlette. She worked for the Royal Oak Schools. She loved to play croquet read and play cards. Most importantly she loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; and siblings Marvin Gertrude Margaret and Charlotte. Surviving her are daughter Charlene (Gregory) Aldrich; and grandchildren Gregg (Jessica) and Jamie (Tina). The family will receive friends Thursday 3-8 p.m. at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 12 Mile Rd. (2 blocks W. of Woodward) Berkley. Funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery.
