Opening Day! Join us Saturday, June 11 for a variety of opening day activities!
- Traveling Farm from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Farm animals from the Bowers School Farm will be on the Library lawn. Come see and pet the animals.
- Register for Summer Reading in the Friends Auditorium! It is not just for children: check out the Teen and Adult Summer Reading Programs, too. On Opening Day, in-person registration only; beginning June 13 you may also register online or by phone.
Opening Day Festivities are sponsored by OUR Credit Union.
Free Programs! All children who participate are invited to attend a variety of educational programs and events. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with their children. Programs require advance registration. Preference will be given to ROPL library card holders. All programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library unless otherwise noted.
Free Books! All children who register and participate in the seven-week reading program are invited to select one free book, thanks to the generosity of the Kiwanis Club of Royal Oak, Target, and the Friends of the Royal Oak Public Library. Books will be available Monday, July 25 through Saturday, August 6
No registration necessary.
