LaFever, Mr. Lonney; age 69; husband of Kathlene LaFever; and a resident of Windsor Drive in Columbia, TN; went home to Heaven on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on December 10, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan, Lonney was the son of the late Jerry LaFever and Betty Gabrielson Sexton. Lonney lived in Waterford, Michigan before relocating to Tennessee. Lonney’s best friend was his pet poodle, Squeaky. He enjoyed travelling, camping, and has always had pride in keeping his yard well manicured and also helping elderly neighbors. He was a beloved husband, valued friend, and cherished neighbor who loved his family above all else. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Sue Ayotte of Pontiac, Michigan, Alan (Linda) Sexton of Niagara Falls, New York, Norman (Marsha) Sexton of Clarkston, Michigan; niece: Samantha (Matt) Hubarth of Waterford, Michigan; nephew, Alan Ayotte of Michigan; great nieces and nephews and cousins; and his wife, Kathy’s, family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert LaFever.
