These 45-minute sessions are designed for preschoolers who enjoy more extended stories, movement, music and crafts. Adults stay with the children and younger siblings may attend but these sessions are developmentally appropriate for ages 3-5.

Registration System for All Story Times: Story times are “Ticketed Drop-In” which means there is no advance registration. On the day of the program, visit the Youth Services Information Desk and pick up a numbered ticket which will be available 15 minutes before the program begins. Most story times have 24 spots available.

Enjoy 30 minutes of literacy building activities for babies including songs and rhymes and sharing board books. Carol Strozier, a certified and registered Alexander Technique teacher, will return to explain and demonstrate how to achieve a balanced body and mind, and better health and positive well being. The Alexander Technique works by helping you identify and prevent the harmful postural habits that can cause, or aggravate, stress, pain or lack of effectiveness. Find out about the U of M Museum of Natural History’s ornithology collection in this hands-on workshop. Gather data from actual museum specimens and learn about ways that the 200,000 birds in the collection are used to protect other birds while advancing scientific theories. Registration is requested.
