Help maintain the library’s butterfly garden and learn more about the plants and animals found there. Crystal Castle, butterfly garden coordinator, welcomes families with children four years old and up (caregiver must be present) who want to help take care of the garden. Along with the gardening, you may spot butterflies and learn more about the plants and why they are included in the butterfly garden.

Come to Safety Town and learn about fire safety, bike safety, stranger danger, animal safety and much more in fun interactive sessions. Presented by the Royal Oak Fire Department. Also, Pro Martial Arts of Troy will be on hand to provide an interactive anti-bullying session. Choose either the morning or afternoon. Each session lasts 2.5 hours. Registration is requested.
