Senior Program Series: Michigan Rx Card

Join us on Saturday, February 25, 11:00 am to 12 noon to learn about the Michigan Rx Card, a free statewide discount prescription assistance program launched to help uninsured and under insured residents afford their medications. The card, when presented at a major pharmacy, will save patients 30% to 70% off the cost of their prescriptions. Participating pharmacies include Kmart, CVS, Meijer, Rite Aid, Target, Walmart, Walgreens and Sam’s Club. There are no income or age limitations and no applications to fill out. Rich and Kelly French will distribute cards to attendees and will answer questions after their presentation. Registration is requested. Limit 100. Please note that parking is free at the Royal Oak Farmers Market lot until 1:00 pm on Saturdays.

There will be no story times or youth programs the week of the Friends book sale, March 9-11.

Read To The Dogs for Independent Readers

Registered therapy dogs are here to listen to children read to them in a one-to-one setting. It is fun and helps improve reading skills because the dog listens attentively and does not judge, laugh, or criticize. Registration is required for this program.
