Hughes, Norman Robert “Bud”; age 92; of Rochester Hills; passed away on March 8, 2015. Loving husband of Gladys for 67 years; dear father of Dorothy (Gary) Engelman and Diane (Dennis) O’Buckley; cherished grandfather of Kate (Scott), Skowronek and Todd (Sandra) O’Buckley; great grandfather of Abigail Skowronek; brother of Betty Roehm, Hilda Wallace, Hal Hughes, Joan Bennett, Ann Travis, Roy Hughes, Eileen Sherman, Janice Neil, the late Ethel Underdown, the late Morgan Hughes, Jr. and the late Edward Hughes. Norman worked for GM Truck and Bus as a steam fitter and retired after 34 years, was an Army WWII Veteran, Bronze Star recipient, a member of the D.A.V., American Legion, Club 55 bowling league, over 55 soft ball league in Troy and Rochester, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Troy. Funeral Service, Tuesday, March 10, 2015, 11 a.m. with an instate time of 9 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Troy, 6363 Livernois, Troy. The family will receive friends Monday, 4 to 9 p.m. at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd, Rochester. Inurnment Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorials in Norman’s name may be made to the D.A.V. or to the First Untied Methodist Church of Troy.
