The Royal Oak Public Library will be restoring Tuesday and Thursday morning hours. Starting on September 6, the library will open at 10 AM.
Volunteers and families are welcome to help with fall planting to spruce up our Butterfly Garden on September 7, 4:00-6:00pm.
With 4000 courses available, Pronunciator gives Royal Oak patrons access to 80 Languages. The languages range from Afrikaans to Mongolian to Xhosa (and more in between). These language courses are available in English as well as many other languages.
Know someone who needs to learn English? Pronunciator also provides ESL courses in 50 different languages to help learn and improve English language skills.
Do you love reading magazines? If you do, Zinio is what you’ve been waiting for. All you need is a Royal Oak Library card and an internet connection. You can choose from several hundred popular and current magazines, access back issues of selected titles, and download them to your mobile device or read them on your computer – for free!

The Michigan Activity Pass program is designed to enhance the learning experience for people of all ages by providing reduced cost or complimentary access to arts and cultural organizations across the state of Michigan.
Gale Courses offers patrons access to hundreds of instructor-led online courses covering everything from health and wellness to creative writing, computer programming, GED test preparation and much more.
These courses are developed by expert instructors, many currently working at universities around the country, and have continuous enrollment dates.
The 2016 Royal Oak Area Preschool and Child Care Directory provides information on over 40 area facilities that provide services for children ages six and under. The directory provides information on area preschools, child care programs, educational approaches, special needs programs, and specialty programs.

The Royal Oak Public Library will be restoring Tuesday and Thursday morning hours. Starting on September 6, the library will open at 10 AM. Currently the library opens at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which were reductions made during the recession.
The Royal Oak Public Library offers large print books, audiobooks, downloadable books and an adaptive computer that contains magnification software, text to speech, and a large print keyboard. Librarians are available to help anyone wishing to browse these collections or use the adaptive computer.
